I am a HUGE Beauty w*@#%!

I own so many products my husband can barely put his toothbrush down on the bathroom counter…

(If you gals behave, I will show you my bathroom/spa room SOON!).

My favorite store is Sephora and I spend way too much time and money making sure I maintain my VIB status… (*)

The good think, though, is that I am not just a hoarder, as I actually USE all those goodies daily or at least weekly.

See, I am one of those chicks who won’t go out without a full face of make-up, go figure!

So today I decided to share the products I love and use with you dolls 🙂

Let’s start with a clean fresh face (I will tell you about my Beauty routine, but that’s another post!);

First things first, a good base :

I just started using Dr. Brandt CC Glow Broad Spectrum SPF 30, and I really like it.

It is light and sheer but really brings light to the entire face, and it doubles as a good make-up primer, + it has a SPF of 30, which is always good to avoid sun damages.

(I just read an article about using aloe vera gel as a primer though, and I think I might consider trying it, when I am in a cheap mood).

Next stop, foundation :

I recently fell in love with Nars Sheer Matte Foundation, mainly because its Syracuse, “medium-dark with brown undertones” color is PERFECT for my face (I can have a hard time finding the right foundation shade for my skin tone).

Unfortunately, the shade has been discontinued, and my current bottle is almost empty, so I am anxiously waiting for Nars new foundation, All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation, which has a Syracuse shade too, to arrive in stock to try it!

Concealer?

This is one of my favorite cheapies :

Loreal True Match Super Blendable Crayon Concealer, in W6-7-8 / Warm-Medium Deep;

It is creamy and easy to play with and has great coverage.

+ it’s under $10!

Now it’s powder time!

I was using a foundation powder, Nars Powder Foundation SPF 12 in Tahoe, but this one too has just been discontinued (Goshhhh…??), so I am eyeing the classic Nars (do I say “Nars” too much?) lighter powder, Pressed Powder.

I will also give a try to both Nars Soft Velvet Loose Powder, and a newcomer at Sephora : Besame Brightening Vanilla Face Powder, that seems to be this banana yellow shade that will erase all dullness on everyone and their mothers.

(My favorite brightening powder EVER was Ben Nye Banana Powder, the $9 internet sensation Kim Kardashian helped popularize, but I got an allergic reaction to it and have been looking for its replacement, a real yellow powder I can use to set concealer and brighten around the eyes, ever since!Maybe this one is the one…?).

What makes me blush?

Nars Blush in Liberté or Luster (I did try their Orgasm shade, as everyone has, but it did nothing for me, no pun intended).

I alternate or even mix them depending on what colors I am wearing on my eyes and lips.

That’s it for the face.

On to the eyes ;

I have been using the same Urban Decay primer for years, only switching to the anti-aging version (huh?) last year.

Mascara, same : faithful to the same old Dior Diorshow , in black of course, since it launched in…2002!

For eye shadow, I use Nars (can you see a pattern, here?) Single Eye Shadow in Night Flight or Night Porter for the night,

but I mostly am a convinced Naked girl during the day: I own Naked2 and 3, and Naked Basic 2 and 3.

I also use Sephora Long Lasting Khol Pencil, in Intense Black or Mystic Purple.

Lipsticks and gloss could be the occasion of their on post, as I own, well…Way too many, but Clinique Almost Lipstick, in the iconic Black Honey shade, and Nars (ahem) Audacious Lipstick in Jane would be 2 examples of what you can find me in.

(* : Oh.MG!I was walking in Beverly Hills today and discovered they were opening a Sephora store on North Beverly Drive, a 10 minutes walk from my house!!

I was telling The Hubby 3 days ago that the only thing that was missing in BH was a Sephora…

The Gods of make-up heard me 🙂
